Sabine Funk is managing director of IBIT and head of the education and research departments. She has studied Crowd and Safety Management, BA (Hons) and is one of the leading experts for crowd safety management in Germany.
Since 2007 she has been running the company WISSENSWERK, consulting on the development, audit and assessment of crowd management plans both for private and public organizations and authorities and focusing on the creation and assessment of event safety concepts.
Sabine Funk is content board member of the YOUROPE Event Safety (YES) Group, vice president of the International Safety Training Association (ISTA) and president of the Crowd Management & Safety Planning Association Germany (VSCM).
Having worked in the industry for more than 20 years, thereof more than ten years as managing shareholder and production manager of the RhEINKULTUR festival, the biggest one day free admission festival in Germany, Sabine has experience in the production of major events in both venues and public spaces.
